Support Tyler's Record Breaking Climb

Tyler Armstrong, 9, of Yorba Linda, Calif., will attempt a record breaking climb of Mount Aconcagua (22,841 ft.) in December 2013 to benefit CureDuchenne. His climb will help raise awareness and funds for CureDuchenne. Tyler became interested in helping boys who aren’t able to take on the challenges of mountain climbing when he met a Duchenne boy close to his age who is wheelchair-bound. Tyler realized he could use his athletic abilities to help others. Tyler will represent the over 300,000 boys worldwide when he faces this epic challenge and adventure.

Previously, Tyler is believed to be the youngest person to climb Mount Whitney in Sierra Nevada, Calif. in a single day. He summited the 14,505 mountain, the tallest in the continental United States, in seven hours and 50 minutes. In 2012, Tyler became the second youngest person ever to climb Mount Kilimanjaro, 19,341 feet.

Support Tyler’s tremendous effort to give back to others by sponsoring his climb of Mount Aconcagua. All donations will be used to support CureDuchenne’s mission. While Tyler takes on the physical challenge of the climb in December 2013, he hopes to raise $10,000 to help fund promising research to find a cure for Duchenne.

“I’m climbing for boys with Duchenne who can’t,” said Tyler. “If people donate one dollar for every foot I climb, we can raise a lot of money to help find a cure for Duchenne.”
